The rules, step by step
- One secret five-letter word, the same for everyone today. You have six guesses.
- Every guess must be a real word. After it lands, each letter tells you what it knows: green is in the right place, amber is in the word somewhere else, grey is not in it.
- The keyboard remembers — letters wear their best verdict so far.
- The clock counts UP. The daily board ranks the fewest rows first, then the fastest solve.
- Play it alone or with one friend on a second phone — you share one grid, either of you can play a row, and you watch each other type. Same leaderboard either way.

Yes. Every game on Table Party is free, with no accounts, no adverts and nothing to buy.
How many people do you need for Five Letters?
Between 1 and 2. Below 1 there are not enough of you for the game to work.
Do we need to download anything?
No. One person opens the site and starts a room; everybody else joins by typing the room code on their own phone. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Can we play Five Letters over a video call?
