The goal
Be the first to 200 points, scored round by round from the number cards in front of you.
Setup
- Shuffle the 94-card deck well. It holds twelve 12s, eleven 11s and so on down to one 1, plus a single 0.
- Pick a dealer and keep a pen and paper for the scores.
- The dealer deals one card face up to each player, themselves included. If an action card comes up, resolve it before dealing on.
How a round works
- Going round the table, the dealer asks each player: hit or stay?
- Hit, and you’re dealt another card face up. Stay, and you bank your total and sit out the rest of the round.
- Flip a number you already have and you bust: out of the round with nothing.
- The round ends when everyone has stayed or bust, or the moment one player has 7 different numbers.
- Pass the deck to the left for the next round, and don’t reshuffle until it runs out.
Scoring and winning
- Add up your number cards.
- A ×2 doubles your number total. Then add any +2 to +10 modifiers.
- Seven different numbers score 15 more.
- At the end of the round in which someone reaches 200, the highest total wins.
The action and modifier cards
Freeze
Give it to any player still in the round, yourself included. They bank their points and are out.
Flip Three
The player who gets it takes the next three cards one at a time, stopping early if they bust or reach seven numbers.
Second Chance
Keep it in front of you. Your next duplicate is discarded along with it instead of busting you. You can hold only one.
Modifiers
+2 to +10 and ×2 can’t bust you and don’t count towards the seven numbers.
Playing Lucky Seven on Table Party
Lucky Seven is Table Party’s version: free in the browser, with everyone on their own phone. A round goes like this.
- On your turn you take one card, or you bank what is in front of you and sit the round out. You need at least one card before you can bank.
- Cards land face up for the whole table to see. Nothing in this game is hidden — not even the odds, which your phone will count for you unless the host turns that off.
- Flip a number you already have and you bust: the whole round in front of you is worth nothing.
- Get seven DIFFERENT numbers and you score fifteen more — and the round ends there for everybody.
- Ninety-four cards. One 0 and one 1, two 2s, all the way to twelve 12s — so the big numbers pay most and are the likeliest to come back and end you, and the 0 is pure progress that can never be beaten to the punch.
- +2 to +10 add to your round. ×2 doubles your numbers — the numbers only. Neither can bust you.
- Freeze hands somebody the bank: they keep their points and are out of the round. Give it to anyone still in, yourself included — and freezing yourself out of a Flip Three cancels the cards you still owe.
- Flip Three forces three more cards on somebody. Same choice of target, and the same shrug when it comes back to you.
- Second Chance sits in front of you and eats one duplicate instead of busting you. Flip a second one and you must pass it to somebody who has not got one — or discard it if everybody has.
- Rounds add up. The round that takes somebody past the target is played out in full, and then the highest total wins — the host sets the target at 100, 150 or 200.
- A turn clock runs by default. Go quiet and the table banks for you — always the safe move — or takes a card when you have nothing to bank yet. The host can lengthen it or switch it off.
What’s different here
- Lucky Seven is Table Party’s own take on the box game.
- It plays with two, and up to ten at one table.
- Your phone shows your odds of busting on the next card, unless the host turns that off.
- The host can set the target to 100 or 150 for a shorter game.
The fiddly bits on Table Party
Second Chance
It absorbs one duplicate. A second Second Chance must be passed to an eligible player or discarded.

Questions about Lucky Seven
Is 0 a number card?
Yes. It scores nothing, but it counts as one of your seven different numbers.
Do modifier cards count towards the seven numbers?
No. Only seven different number cards earn the 15-point bonus. Modifiers and action cards never count, and they can’t bust you.
How does ×2 work with the + cards?
Double your number cards first, then add the + modifiers. With 11, 5 and 12 plus a +4 you score 32; add a ×2 and you score 60.
Can you play Lucky Seven with two players?
Yes: Lucky Seven plays a normal game with two. The box game is for three or more; for two or fewer, it suggests seeing how few rounds it takes you to reach 200.
Is Lucky Seven free?
Yes. Every game on Table Party is free, with no accounts, no adverts and nothing to buy.
How many people do you need for Lucky Seven?
Between 2 and 10. Below 2 there are not enough of you for the game to work.
Do we need to download anything?
No. One person opens the site and starts a room; everybody else joins by typing the room code on their own phone. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Can we play Lucky Seven over a video call?
Yes. Share the room code in the chat and play with the call running — everything private stays on each player’s own phone.
