The rules, step by step

  1. A prompt goes up with a blank in it. One player judges; everybody else plays from a hand of seven.
  2. The plays are shuffled and read out with nobody’s name attached.
  3. The judge picks the one that landed, and only then does the room learn who wrote it.
  4. That card takes the point, and the judge’s chair moves one seat along.
  5. First to five takes the game. Three decks, from Family to After Dark.

Scoring and the fiddly bits

The prompt

One card with a blank in it. Some have two, and those take two answer cards in the order you play them.

The hand

Seven answer cards, refilled after every round. The judge sits the round out and plays nothing.

Anonymity

Plays are shuffled and read with no author attached. Nobody, judge included, learns who wrote what until the pick is made.

Scoring

The chosen card takes one point for its author. First to five wins, and the judge’s chair moves one seat every round.

The decks

Family, Party and After Dark, chosen by the host on the lobby. After Dark is never on by default.
