The rules, step by step
- Rex flips through a night of TV. Every channel is a new mini game, with its own controls on your phone.
- Channels come in quick rounds: rebuild a sandwich from memory, bid closest without going over, guess the year, spot the odd one out, sprint, doodle, call real news from fake, and predict your friends.
- Every reveal lines up everyone’s answers side by side. Right and fast scores most.
- Waiting on a reveal? Your phone is the studio audience: clap, laugh, gasp or boo, and the whole room hears it.
- Nobody is knocked out. At the ad break, last place gets the remote: pick the next channel, then double your own points or jam the leader’s screen.
- The last channel is Prime Time, where every point counts double. Most points wins, and the winner gets their own show.
Scoring and the fiddly bits
Scoring a channel
Every channel pays for being right and pays more for being fast or closest. A reveal shows everyone’s answers side by side, then the ratings race shows who moved.
The remote
At the ad break the player in last place picks the next channel from three and takes one power: double their own points on it, or jam the leader’s screen for a round.
Prime Time
The last channel of the episode counts double. The winner’s own show, named after their best channel, closes the night.
Table size
Three to thirty. Draw It only airs with three or more, and with more than twelve the wall shows the top twelve of each reveal and every phone scrolls to its own row.

How many people do you need for Channel Surf?
Between 3 and 30. Below 3 there are not enough of you for the game to work.
Do we need to download anything?
No. One person opens the site and starts a room; everybody else joins by typing the room code on their own phone. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Can we play Channel Surf over a video call?
Yes. Share the room code in the chat and play with the call running — everything private stays on each player’s own phone.
