What Starcast is

Everyone rolls the same five dice at once. Keep, reroll and bank your best hand, and collect charms that change how you score. With friends, three hands make a round, the lowest total loses a heart and the last one standing wins. Alone, beat each night’s target and complete your constellation.

How to play Starcast

  1. Everyone opens each hand on the same roll of five dice, at the same time.
  2. Tap the dice you want to reroll and reroll them, up to twice (nothing picked rerolls all five). Then bank. Your rerolls are your own, and everyone’s dice and score are on show.
  3. Banking scores your best hand for you: Points × Mult.
  4. A round is three hands and your scores add up. The lowest round total loses a heart. Lose both and you roll on as a ghost; beat everyone once and you’re back.
  5. After each round the Night Market opens: spend stardust ✦ on charms, wishes, jinxes and Forge cards. Every card sells once, so hold it before a rival does.
  6. Forge cards change a face of your dice for good: tune it to any number, shave it off, gild it (+3 Mult when it scores) or make it a Star that counts as anything.
  7. Lose a heart and you get a free jinx to throw next round, extra stardust and a head start at the market.
  8. Last one standing wins. After six rounds, most hearts wins.
